SUR Accounting helps business owners transform financial data into actionable business intelligence. While our team of professional QuickBooks ProAdvisor bookkeepers maintains accurate and reliable financial records, our primary focus is helping entrepreneurs understand the story behind the numbers. Founded by operators and entrepreneurs, SUR was built to bridge the gap between bookkeeping, financial reporting, and real-world business decision-making. Too often, business owners receive financial statements but lack the context needed to use them effectively. We believe financial reports should do more than satisfy compliance requirements. They should help owners make informed decisions about growth, profitability, hiring, cash flow, and long-term strategy.

Our role is not to replace a client's CPA, tax professional, financial advisor, lender, or investment strategist. Instead, we serve as a collaborative partner, working alongside each client's financial team to ensure everyone has accurate information and meaningful insights. By helping clients understand key metrics such as cash flow, profitability, runway, burn rate, customer acquisition costs, and customer lifetime value, we empower them to have more productive conversations with their advisors and make better business decisions. At SUR Accounting, our mission is simple: provide clarity, strengthen communication between financial professionals and business owners, and help entrepreneurs build healthier, more valuable companies.

About me

I founded SUR Accounting after spending six years helping manage operations within a high-volume CPA firm serving more than 1,000 clients. Working closely with business owners, tax professionals, and financial advisors gave me a unique perspective on a challenge I saw repeatedly: business owners often had access to financial information but lacked the support needed to fully understand and apply it. What began as an observation developed into a passion. I wanted to create a firm that not only delivered accurate financial information but also helped business owners understand how that information impacts real-world decisions. My perspective extends beyond firm operations. As an entrepreneur, I have built and scaled businesses across the hospitality, residential staging, and real estate industries. I understand the realities of managing cash flow, hiring teams, navigating growth, and making difficult decisions while trying to build something meaningful.

Today, I work directly with our clients, helping them gain clarity around their financial performance and build stronger partnerships with their CPAs, financial advisors, lenders, and strategic professionals. Together with my husband, David, Co-Founder and CFO of SUR Accounting, we lead a dedicated team of professional bookkeepers committed to helping business owners become more informed, confident, and financially empowered leaders. At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: when entrepreneurs truly understand their numbers, they make better decisions, build stronger businesses, and create greater opportunities for the people they serve.
